Andrew Bucci (1922-2014) would have celebrated his 100th birthday on Jan. 12, 2022.

In recognition of his contributions to the arts and the centennial of his birth, the Mississippi Senate designated Jan. 12, 2022 “Andrew Bucci Day” in Mississippi. The celebration kicked off that day with a History Is Lunch program focusing on the exhibition Emerging Grace: Andrew Bucci’s Early Works at the Mississippi Department of Archives & History and a formal presentation of the Andrew Bucci Day proclamation by Sen. Briggs Hopson of Vicksburg.
